A great assignment from the supplier of the best tomatoes, Prominent Tomatoes even. “Design a packaging line for our various tomatoes”. Yes please! We got to design something for a fresh, top-quality product and we were given a lot of freedom in our approach. For this job, we sought the cooperation of illustrator Loes van Oosten.

Illustrations

Loes van Oosten creates strong graphic images and uses techniques such as silkscreen and stamp printing. Handmade, with their fingers in the ink. This combination of powerful handmade images fits perfectly with the craft and love that is put into the tomatoes. For each type of tomato we made an illustration which we then incorporated into the design for the packaging. We thought it would be very cool to let the designs run through, so that you get one big wall of tomatoes when you stack the boxes on top of each other. We think it worked out quite well...
